This is the most diversified and complete tour covering the East side of the island of São Miguel. Be prepared for something immersive. We will commence by taking you off-road to cross the small river of Ribeira Grande, we will then visit the very remote place of Lombadas away from the civilization. You will have also the chance to visit Gorreana, the oldest tea plantation and factory in Europe, still in operation with tasting of the tea produced there, then we shall proceed to Furnas Town, one of the largest hydropolises in Europe due to the wide variety of mineral and thermal water springs, fumaroles, wide lake and other volcanic phenomena. The lunch, at a local Restaurant will be the famous "Cozido" cooked on holes made on the ground taking advantage of the endogenous volcanic resource. Due to the diversity existing on Furnas we will give you some free time to walk around, make local visits or even bathing in the hot springs (please make sure you buy your ticket online in advance). On our way back, we will come by the south coast of the Island and there will still be time for a visit to the lookout of Nossa Senhora da Paz in Vila Franca do Campo, with nice panoramic views above the Islet and of the town itself.
